Transitions

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. We arrived in Michigan on May 18th and are staying at Camp Dearborn in Milford. It is a beautiful spot, with lots of trees and several lakes. We are looking forward to a good summer.

We still have the apartment until May 31st. And thank goodness--our home (the fifth-wheel) is at the dealer having warranty work done. We had a list of things to fix, but thankfully none of them are real bad issues. But, since we can stay at the apartment, this was the time to do it.

When we left, we didn't have time to get the apartment completely empty. All the furniture is gone, but there are still boxes to go to storage and cleaning to do. We have been doing that this week, in addition to running errands and getting little David to the doctor for his pre-op blood work and check-up.

The only wrinkle in the plan was that we forgot that we have no cooking pot/pans, utensils, plates, etc. at the apartment. It has been a real challenge trying to cook!

We need to get everything done by Saturday night because our son Mike and his wife Cherie will be here then. They are on vacation and will be here for three days before leaving for Niagara Falls and Toronto. They probably want to get out of here before David goes under the knife and needs nursing!
