Today we are leaving Gainesville, Georgia and traveling to Branson, Missouri, where we will be taking a 2 day private driving class with a professional truck driver. We are sad to leave the park we are in. It has been one of the best camping places we have ever been--quiet, beautiful, clean, private, lots of wildlife, and on a lake. We would have liked to stay another month.
We are also apprehensive about the trip to Branson. Two hundred and fifty miles of the trip is on a US road, not an interstate. That means we could encounter a bridge that won't have enough clearance for us. Last night we poured over the Motor Carrier's Road Atlas, which lists low clearance bridges on US and state routes. We think we will be OK.
